Days 11 and 12 - A parting of ways

Wednesday
This morning it was time for the group to split, with Julie, Alice and Phil going out to On The Track at Nydia Bay to assist with support for a race passing though. The rest of us turned our heads south and take the coast road to Christchurch.
On the way we stopped at Ohau Point Lookout and had the good fortune to see the adult seals of the colony basking on the rocks and the juvenile seals playing in the rock pools

Morning tea stop, birds watching on, hoping for crumbs

Thursday
Andrew and I managed to squeeze in a quick ride in the Port Hills, up Rapaki and finding  our way down without getting lost

Back home and the new Evoc bike bags get the seal of approval, packing and unpacking takes under 1/2 and hour, this includes taking of the derailleur and break discs. Easy to fit everything in and easy to transport around the airport. Andrew and I use very different  methods when putting our bikes back together, I try to keep everything organised and neat as I work, Andrew just spreads his sh*t everywhere!
Thank you to Julie for all your planning and organisation, Kay, Julian, Alan, Barb, Rob and Lucy for your hospitality, Kees, Julian and Alice for the use of their vehicles, Phil for his bike maintenance and repair skills, Jan and Jane for your medical expertise (even if it was the sagely advice "you should go to the chemist you're irritating") and thank you all for being great company, couldn't ask for better travel companions, tin out of tin ( that's Kiwi for ten out of ten). Bring on 2016!
