Thursday
The Tourers gathered in the kitchen for an early breakfast and as well as a nutritious breakfast we also discovered the cause of the rather unpleasant smell that permeated the room, when Julie picked up the toaster she also picked up a very recently dead mouse, it was that moment that we all recognised that the smell that had been bothering us yesterday was that of a long dead mouse (someone must have forgotten to check all the traps and we are pretty sure it was one behind the freezer that had been missed)
We were sharing the shearers quarters with a conference group and as you can see from the pic below they had a big night, needless to say they got a little rowdy, turns out Kees can get a little rowdy too and he knows some swear words as well, may be it was the language lessons Sue has been giving.
The day started out a bit bleak
Ah the familiar sight of mountain bikers comparing scars
Some tech support during the morning tea stop, transcripts available upon request
We took the scenic route
Jane knows how to keep herself entertained
The weather had turned hot by the time we arrived in Blenheim and we had time for Sue and Janes swimming lessons
Jane shows the technique while Sue explains, Julie is ready for squad now
John receives the Tiki for driving the wildly over powered Toyota and managing to keep all that power in check! Andrew receives the crown for not wanting to give up his front seat position in the Beamer even after we have been given strict instructions by Madam Julie to ROTATE!
