Day 4 - Off to Narnia

Wednesday
1st order of business is to move our gear into our new accommodations in the Shearers Quarters (Backpackers)
Then it's time to load up the cars for the short drive to the Narnia Track. This ride is in very different terrain to the Craigieburn ride, it's non technical and the views are vast and starkly breathtaking. This track is reserved for guests of Flock Hill Station

The crown is affixed to Madam Princess Julies helmet.
While wearing the crown Madam Princess Julie should be shown the respect she deserves

Off to Narnia we go

Andrew and I do a bit of climbing to make the most of the view
Well worth the climb

Alice also did some climbing and ended up on the other side of the looking glass

The royal couple, the Sacred Tiki Holder and Crown Bearer

Ewww what is that stuck in the cables Kees!
A Flock of sheep scatter at our arrival, what are they worried about...oh...best leave that alone.
A few wee uphills
With the downhill rewards
Sweet az eh Bru
Morning tea stop

A few more wee uphills

Andrew and Richard have found their special place
Some of us ride the Sidle 73 track back to Flock Hill again
Some nice up hill switchbacks

Time for lunch back at Flock Hill
Heading out to Cave Stream. A fantastic unregulated adventure through a 500m cave carved out of limestone by water
Looking in the entrance
Looking back out
The water got up to our waists a few times and we made our way over and around the water smoothed rocks with our torches as the only light
The water was flowing swiftly but wasn't cold

Now if you all look behind you, you'll see a very excited adventurer
Andrew really enjoyed this adventure - you can tell by the crazy look in his eyes

The exit is pretty exciting

Sue coaching us through the crawl
Note the huge drop in the bottom left hand corner
The happy cavers

Time enough to dry in the sun
The beautiful gardens of Flock Hill

Group photo time, it was a sprint to get into place before the camera timer finished its' countdown
Time for some swinging

Dinner in the Flock Hill restaurant - the best roast lamb!

Julian was presented with the Tiki for jumping in and completing just about every domestic chore there was, we especially appreciated him hanging out the washing because if he didn't we ended up with what you see below happening

Julie was reluctant to surrender the crown and decided that it could do with a shower. After dinner it was time for charades, "Forest Gump" proved to be and easy point for one team but "Dead Poets Society", "Don't Break my Heart my Achy Breaky Heart" and "I am Pilgrim" caused problems.
