Codgers and Birthdays

Friday

After eggs for breakfast, Julian cooks excellent poached eggs Andrew tells me, we head out straight from the Motel to ride Dun Mountain, via Codgers Track and the Copper Mine Saddle.
Codgers Track, Dun Mountain and Copper Mine Saddle - 59km

Andrew in a blatant attempt to get his hands on the Tiki oils everyones chains in the morning

Departure take two: Somehow Andrew managed to go over the handle bars within spitting distance of the motel and give his elbow a nasty graze.

And it's up, up, up.

Superb views down towards Nelson

Marie joined us for the ride.

Lunch stop at Third House

A bit more climbing

Alice spotted this cute little fellow on the side of the track

Nice to have a warning when something nasty is coming up

Windy Point - no wind today

Jane makes it up a tricky pinch

Boys will be boys, Andrew and Kees climb a rocky outcrop with their bike - just because.

Now for the downhill

Lots of rocky switchbacks

The track then followed the waterpipe and creek line along lovely smooth single track

Heading back into town
